It emphasizes and reviews the basic principles of enamelling, the importance of making samples, and introduces essential materials and various simple techniques.

In enamelling there is no substitute for experience. All the information in the world is no substitute for the daily experince, in front of the kiln, of how heat transforms glass and affects its relationship with the metal. The information is here to make sense of the experience, and hopefully to help you gain better control over outcomes.
