School counselors are in a unique position to provide leadership in schools. Leadership can take many forms, from drawing attention to important issues and advocating for positive change in the school environment, to providing individual support of a student during a challenging time. School counselors have the ability to advance the social curriculum by providing an example to students of leadership in action.
