My love for people and my strong belief in the power of change have led me to the field of school counseling. Having worked as a social worker for 10 years, I have been able to develop strong counseling and advocacy skills, along with the ability to work with diverse populations. I have worked with people throughout the lifespan, from infants in an early intervention program to elderly residents of a nursing home. This experience has helped me to feel confident in helping people through a variety of life's challenges.

            Becoming a school counselor feels like a natural progression to me. My skills in working with different types of people and my experience in advocating for clients' needs will serve me well as I begin my journey into school counseling.
