A Power Point Presentation
The purpose of this project was to learn how to work in a group. The final goal was to create a Power Point presentation which explained in detail the major elements of a Civil Construction Project including Organization, Safety, Productivity, Planning, Cost and Method of Construction. The shear size and scope of the Panama Canal immediately caught our attention.
One of the first things we did was get organized. We knew when the project was due, so we established goals for ourselves as far as having particular portions of the project done by certain dates. Our group of three divided tasks equally trying to allow each person to utilize their strengths. We also drafted a Team Charter which stated how we would operate as a team so that everyone knew what was expected.
