These pictures above are all olympic gymnasts. By looking at these pictures you can see some of the crazy skills that a gymnast can accomplish if working hard and doing what they love.

Gymnastics is my second education. I did gymnastics for 12 years, and though I don't do it competitively anymore, I still enjoy it. Gymnastics is and will always be a big part of my life because it was always the only sport that I participated in. I was always doing something gymnastics related whether it was practice, competing in a meet, or doing handstand all around my house. I was so involved that I had no choice but to learn so many things from this sport.

Gymnastics is an extremely time consuming sport and it most definitely taught me time management. While I was in school and also doing gymnastics I would have to figure out when to get my homework done, when to eat dinner, and when to do my chores, so that I would be able to go to gymnastics practice. Gymnastics also taught me discipline because of the intensity of this sport. To be a gymnast, you need to be dedicated, and work as hard as humanly possible if you want a chance of getting better and better. Without practicing and working hard, I realized that I wouldn't be going anywhere in this sport. I know know that I always have to give everything I have and to work as hard as I can to be able to get what I want. I was taught that I can't sit around and be lazy, waiting for things to just happen for me.

After doing gymnastics for so long, I really value the sport and what it has done for me. I chose this as my second education because I knew immediately knew that this is what I have learned so much from outside of school and it makes me excited to know that I was learning all these things from this sport without even knowing it.

The fact that I absolutely loved the sport of gymnastics help a lot with my dedication because if I didn't care so much about it, I wouldn't try hard, and I wouldn't improve. Gymnastics taught me to always have that drive to do better. If I had never done gymnastics, I don't know if I would have learned the things that I did because I definitely didn't learn this in school.
