Introduction

This is Dr. Sally Gelardin with Careerwell Live and Recorded Tele-Interviews. Our guest today is Yves Lermusi (aka Lermusiaux) a talent management industry veteran, who founded Checkster, a system that leverages the latest technology and research in expert performance and neuroscience, to give individuals and organizations tools that will help them recognize and grow their talent. Lermusi's goal is to improve the world's productivity and harmony by increasing job fit and work achievement, as well as personal career satisfaction and fulfillment. He works with employers to hire, retain, and grow the right talent.  Since many of the listeners on this phone call help prepare job hunters for the interview, we are very interested in hearing what employers are looking for in potential employees.  Yves, here's my first question...

Interview Questions

  1. From you bio, it looks like that you have spoken more to corporations and recruiters than to the employees or to jobseekers.  What is bringing you closer to the job seekers and the professionals who help guide them?
  2. In our conversation before this interview, you mentioned meeting with Dick Bolles.  How has he influenced you?
  3. What does the latest research tell us on how to create top talent?
  4. What is the most effective way to ace recruiting screening tools?
  5. What actions produce expert performance and how do we practice them?
  6. How does the next generation web technology change career management practices?
  7. On your website and for the exercise you gave listeners, you mention the 360 feedback and you use that technique in your exercise.  Could you explain the 360 technique and why you used that technique in your exercise?
  8. Marty Nemko, with whom many of the listeners are familiar, did this exercise on himself. What did he report? What do others who take the 360 tools find about themselves?
  9. How do you use this information that you found out about yourself (i.e., interview, references, on the job)?
  10. It would help the listeners on this phone call to know the employer's point of view.  What  are employers looking for in employees?
  11. What is the book that you wrote and how would it be of value to listeners?
  12. Could you summarize the major points of your interview today?
