Interview Questions

I was going to ask you about how you apply Maslow's theory to running a business, which is the subject of PEAK: How Great Companies Get Their Mojo from Maslow,  (Jossey-Bass 2007)and then I learned about your upcoming book, Emotional Equations: Simple Truths for Creating Happiness & Success, which will be out in January 2012. Since I am now more interested in your upcoming book, and I think many of our listeners and their clients might also be interested in how to create happiness and success, I have some questions about it that I would like to ask you first.  Then, if we have time, we can go back to Maslow. As career counselors and coaches we know that we are all CEOs of our own career, so now we're going to find out your tips for being CEO of your own career.

  1. First, who was the inpiration for your upcoming book about creating happiness and success?
  2. Why did you write this book?
  1. Which is more important, Practicing Gratitude or Pursuing Gratification, and why?
  2. What's the real definition of CEOs?
  3. You were the second largest boutique hotel owner in the country? Also, you are still young (compared to me). Why did you step down from being a CEO?
  4. What are you doing now?
  5. When should we make business decisions?
  6. How are orgaizations like ponds?
  7. What is good phycho hygiene and why is it important for CEOs to create good psycho hygiene?
