About Me
My name is Tyler W. Chapman; I am a student at Bryant University Majoring in Marketing with a minor in political science. I chose Bryant University because of its outstanding reputation and job placement. Prior to attending Bryant University I graduated from Brattleboro Union High School with honors in 2003. At B.U.H.S. I worked with local politicians campaigning, traveled with the art department to Italy and attended the National Youth Leadership Program on Defense Intelligence and Diplomacy. Throughout high school I also held a steady job managing a small photography store working about 30 to 40hrs a week from junior year on. At the store I was able to tap into a number of experts in the field and wholesalers where I was able to attain equipment and practice photography. I later parlayed this into digital editing and professional photography.
At Bryant University I joined the International Business Fraternity of Delta Sigma Pi where I have held the position of Chancellor (meeting facilitator) Vice President (responsible for recruiting) and President. During my stint as Vice President the Chapter was recognized for excellence in recruiting. As president we have received national awards for Travel (most number of brothers traveling the farthest for a national event), professional activities (bringing professional speakers and event planning), and community service.
My ambitions for graduation forward are to work in the providence area and own my own business within a decade of graduating. Currently I am looking at franchising a microbrewery or distillery or moving into marketing consulting.
