If your answer is "College", then you'll need to narrow yourself down to a major or area, like Communications or Engineering.
If your answer is "Get a job", then you'll need to leave PHSC with skills to help you succeed.
Regardless of your answer, PHSC's Technology Education Department offers courses that will prepare you for your future, and put you ahead of your peers; whether it's college or the workforce.
The Technology Education Department is divided into the three following areas:
-
Construction Technology
-
Engineering Technology
- Visual Communications Technology
To find out more, select an area in the header of this site.
Each area has introductory courses for underclassmen. Many students take a variety of introductory courses to find out what interests them. For example, students can take Graphic Arts or Intro to Television in the Visual Communications area and Intro to Engineering in the Engineering Technology area and Construction: Building Materials in the Construction Technology area.
Once students have found an area that interests them most, they take the next course in that area. Many students have found that they want to take classes in several areas. For example, if you want to work in construction, you will want to take the Construction Technology classes. You will also find it beneficial to take the CAD (Computer Aided Design) classes offered in the Engineering Technology area, as well.
In conclusion, while the areas are seperate, they compliment each other - they are each part of a whole technical education.
