Graphic Arts is a
fast-paced and active "hands on" class. Students learn to use the
computer, scanners, and graphic software such as Photoshop Elements
as a production tool. Projects include silkscreened T-shirts,
batiks and stencils. Students are also introduced to wet-process
(black and white) photography and digital
photography.
The Technology Education
Department provides cameras for student use. However, students with
35mm film cameras and digital cameras are encouraged to use their
own.
Many students take Graphic Arts before taking
Photography, but it is not required.
