October 4-5- A Two-Day Beginner Class in Celtic Relief Stonecarving Blackstone River Theatre, 549 Broad Street, Cumberland, RI.  Class will be held outside, behind the Blackstone River Theatre on Saturday AND Sunday, October 4-5, from 9 AM-3:30 PM each day (with a half-hour lunch break.) In the Limestone Relief Carving Classes, students will carve knotwork,  a simple relief design or perhaps an animal motif and in the process learn something of one of civilization's oldest expressions.  Students should be able to finish two small carvings in a one weekend class. The finished relief carvings look great in a garden.  Stone and your own tool to keep are included in the materials fee.  Bring your own sandbag and goggles or other eye protection, and your lunch.  Everything else is provided.
