Here Darwin spent most of his days
for the rest of his life, researching, reading, corresponding with
colleagues, and writing his many books. He often took breaks during his
working day for time with Emma and his ever-increasing brood of
children, walks and rest, and visits to the estate's greenhouse
where he had various experiments in
progress.
